• Tools: flexible tape (or string + ruler). Measure on a calm dog, standing square on a flat surface.
  
• Chest (girth): wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Keep the tape snug and level — no slack, but don’t compress the fur.
  
• Back length: measure from the base of the neck (where a collar would sit) to the base of the tail. Hold the head gently up; a lowered head makes the back seem longer. Tail stays in its natural position.
  
• Neck: measure around the base of the neck (collar position). The tape should sit comfortably—snug enough to stay put, with a little ease for movement.
  

Tips: measure each point twice; don’t measure over a harness or bulky layer; if your dog is between sizes or very fluffy, mention age, breed, and all measurements in Order Notes — we’ll double-check before sewing.
